The IIHA invites applications for the position of National Children’s Officer.
The position is voluntary and the successful candidate will commence work June 2010.

Your application must include your:
•date of birth
•details of any club affiliations
•Curriculum Vitae outlining any relevant experience (hockey or otherwise) which may be of interest or value to the position
A select number of applicants will be called for an interview and following these interviews the National Children’s Officer will be appointed.
Your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•oversee the implementation and review of the IIHA Child Protection Policy
•ensure and assist all clubs in adhering to the IIHA Child Protection Policy
•liaise with all clubs to ensure that any potential risks to the safety of children are identified and the appropriate actions are taken to reduce these risks
•Liaise with all clubs and all officers of the IIHA to ensure that the protection of children remains on the agenda of the IIHA at all times
•carry out the background checks and vetting processes on all officers and any potential officers of the IIHA
•will involve approximately 2 – 3 hours of work per week
