On Thursday September 4th, the Irish Women's National Development Team will be participating in the annual NT-Cup in Norkkoping, Sweden. The team will participate in a camp on the Friday evening which will be run by Irish National Team Coaches Vytautas Lukosevicious, Sean Gibson a Swedish Coach and several members of some of the Swedish women's league. The women will then take to the Ice on Saturday playing 4 games against some very tough opposition.

The Irish Women's National Development Team is a mixture of twenty players from the Irish Ice Hockey League and IIHL's Development Division. Represented are players from four different teams and is comprised of both Irish Nationals and some non-nationals who are playing in leadership and developmental roles. This team is geared to prepare the some of the ladies for the Irish National Team trials which will begin later this year. These players have worked hard over the last couple of months to prepare under National Team Coaches Vytautas Lukosevicious and Sean Gibson and are expected to do well in the first ever representation of an Irish Women's team.
